Luke Morris had the three-year-old Excel Again in his sights on the son of Invincible Spirit, who is bred to be sharp as he was a January 28 foal.

There are six offspring of US sire Kitten's Joy at Rathmoy Stables, including this filly, who got the former Sir Henry Cecil assistant on the board for the year when landing a mile maiden at Haydock last month. The three-year-old mixed it with Light Of Joy (Stevie Donohoe), also by Kitten's Joy, on the watered gallop and heads for a Listed race at York on Friday.

Haggas made it back from the Arqana Breeze-Up Sales the previous day to supervise work on the Al Bahathri on Saturday, before flying back to France late morning to saddle his two runners in their 1,000 Guineas. The hectic schedule paid off when this juvenile impressed under Pat Cosgrave, and the recent Yarmouth third may turn out again at Thirsk next weekend.

The Albert House trainer was showing off his highest-rated three-year-old on the Al Bahathri and he did not disappoint in a solo exercise. The son of Arcano was a winner at Thirsk last month and heads back to Yorkshire for a handicap at Doncaster next Saturday.

The La Grange team have yet to hit the board with a two-year-old, with many of them needing at least six furlongs to be effective. Dunlop held a juvenile-only morning on the watered gallop on Friday, where this son of Dark Angel was among those to take the eye.

The daughter of High Chaparral was not unfancied when scoring at Nottingham and Parkin won't have far to travel to see her next in the Listed Marygate Stakes at York on Friday.
