Final set of jazzy new silks sells at second auction attempt

The last of the silks offered for auction by the BHA, which failed to sell when originally put up for sale, have been purchased for £3,250.

One of six jazzy designs, the purple offering with a silver horseshoe initially failed to capture the imagination.

However, following a number of inquiries after the end of the original auction, the silks were reoffered, with the same £3,000 reserve in place.
