Trainer Julia Feilden has claimed a serious incident will occur if breast girths are not made compulsory following the latest unseating of a jockey due to tack problems.

Garry Whillans parted company with Knotty Jack at Hamilton on Tuesday after the Iain Jardine-trained four-year-old's saddle slipped.

That prompted Feilden to make a social media call for trainers to be required to apply breast girths, and she repeated that on Wednesday, saying: "Incidents like Knotty Jack, and in the Dubai World Cup where California Chrome's saddle slipped, wouldn't happen if there was a rule that said breast girths were compulsory.
