There was a curious race on Sunday at Ffos Las’s annual point-to-point.

A group of 12 horses went to post for the mixed open yet ten pulled up and one refused when pottering at the final fence, miles behind the emphatic winner, Wishing And Hoping, who made all and galloped his rivals into submission.

Owned by Trish and Peter Andrews, the nine-year-old fell on two of his three chase starts for Alan King in 2016 but has now made it three from three in points-to-points since joining Phil Rowley.
