Cliched it may appear, but for Adam Bunn and his three mates, a first venture into racehorse ownership sounds like an absolute fairytale.

The 32-year-old carpet fitter, who lives in Pulborough, had a day out with three friends at last year's Derby. Pooling resources, they came back about £85,000 richer when three of four selections given them by a friend who runs a tipping service came up trumps in a big way.

A couple of months later, they did what any sane person would do in the circumstances: bought a greyhound and a racehorse. The greyhound is the Seamus Cahill-trained Droopys Gold (has "sizzling early" according to doggy colleagues); the horse, Peter Hedger-trained four-year-old C'Est No Mour, has won handicaps at Lingfield and Windsor this summer.
