After a hiatus of just over four months, point-to-pointing returns to traditional venues this weekend and older horses are being welcomed back into the loop as well. Happy days indeed.

Following an unprecedented 2020, few in pointing circles could have imagined that 2021 would present even more challenges.

A suspension of racing between the flags from January to April was a shock to all and when permission for a return did come, there was some condemnation of the conditions that came with it centring around the feeling older horses had been left behind.
