Weights for the handicaps were finally revealed on Tuesday and it's fair to say the reported changes to the way British horses would be handicapped weren't blatantly obvious.

There was an overall swing of only 0.44lb per runner in favour of Britain but, in the hurdle races, the move was the other way with Irish-trained runners 0.51lb better off than last year.

You could argue that may be because the hurdlers coming from Ireland this year aren't considered by the BHA to be as good as those who came over last season, but that's probably spurious.
