Drugs scandals, screaming headlines and battles with bookmakers – the BHA has rarely had a quiet time in the ten years since it took charge of British racing.

Over the last decade the BHA, which took over as the sport's governing body after a merger between the British Horseracing Board (BHB) and the Horseracing Regulatory Authority (HRA) on July 31, 2007, has come in for plenty of criticism and sometimes a little praise for the way it has steered the sport through tumultuous times.
