Backstory The superstar filly of 2017 with her three-year-old season culminating in Arc triumph following victories in the Oaks, Irish Oaks, King George and Yorkshire Oaks.
What made 2018 special? It was all about the autumn after a setback ruled her out until September. A prep run on the all-weather at Kempton got her ready (just) for her Arc defence, when she just did enough to hold off a late challenge under Frankie Dettori (just) from Sea Of Class in a Longchamp thriller. She then conquered America in the Breeders’ Cup Turf at Churchill Downs, becoming the first Arc winner to follow up at the meeting.
Best moment John Gosden’s filly bravely repelled Sea Of Class with a dramatic Arc success which ensured we will see her again in 2019 as owner-breeder Khalid Abdullah keeps her in training to pursue a unique hat-trick.
