Tony Doran

A legend of Wexford hurling, Tony Doran was one of the first players to ignite my love for the sport and to this day he remains my favourite player of all time. Looking at the all-time greats of the game, he has to be right up there with the best of them. There was always a roar when Tony Doran got on the ball and he usually popped up with a goal. My earliest memories of the GAA and Croke Park were sitting on my father’s lap and the excitement of watching such a skilful player. Those are very special memories for me and ones I will never forget.
