It was a clash between two horses which really ignited my love for horseracing. Having arrived on the racing scene when the Kauto Star vs Denman ship had just sailed, I was devastated.

Looking back a few years after their final duel, it's only now you put into perspective how good these two horses were. Neither were probably the flashiest two-mile hurdlers you'll have ever seen but what both possibly lacked in style, both made up for in abundance with heart.

The slightly more preferred for the majority of the racing public was Hurricane Fly, who simply never knew when he was beaten.
