The calm before the storm: Fidux could be the star on a quiet Saturday
We're set for a much quieter time this weekend than next, when Sceau Royal and Potterman are likely to be bidding for big prizes at either end of the country.
We haven't done much with either since their fine efforts last Saturday but they remain on course for the Fighting Fifth Hurdle and Ladbrokes Trophy, providing their wellbeing – and the weather! – continues to please me.
Before that, the prospect of a dry week and decent ground is tempting me to run Fidux in the My Odds Boost On Betfair Handicap Chase at Haydock this Saturday.
