In the lead-up to the Arc the fact that Found had finished second so many times in her career was enough for some 'judges' of my acquaintance to raise their eyes and shake their heads to dismiss her prospects of winning at Chantilly.

Seconditis can have that effect on punters. So often a bridesmaid but seldom a bride, there must be something missing and all of that.
Did it apply to Found in a meaningful way or were all those 2s in front of her name telling a different story? On closer examination her record of two Group 1 wins and nine runner-up finishes at the top level going into Europe's richest Flat race stood up to the closest scrutiny.

The vibes from Ballydoyle were positive and a filly who had not always enjoyed the best of luck in running in some of her races, most notably in the 2015 Arc, went out and produced the performance of her career.
