Men and Horses I Have Known (1924) by The Hon George Lambton

Probably the definitive horseracing book, regarded as a classic beyond the sport. It's just one of the great books on the subject about a gentleman trainer. He was champion trainer three times before the first world war and this is an absolute classic, I think. He was betting in thousands in the early 1900s but his understanding of horses and patrons was extraordinary.
