'There's no reason to think Native River has stopped improving'

Won at Sedgefield and then was just touched off by a five-year-old in a decent bumper at Cheltenham last time. He's a beautiful young horse with a hell of a page and an engine to go with it, so now we just have to decide what route to take with him. We've already schooled him over hurdles but we think he's good enough for the Champion Bumper, so we have the option of saving him for that. It's a nice problem to have.

Won a nice novice hurdle at Kempton last year and will now go over the bigger obstacles. We'll wait for the ground before running him in a 0-130 novices' limited handicap chase over 2m4f, and I think fences will be the making of him. He wouldn't want the ground really heavy but we wouldn't risk him on quick either.

Seriously consistent last season, winning a couple of hurdles, he'll go novice chasing this year and I think fences will suit him because he was a fluent jumper of hurdles. He's a good sort with plenty of potential.
