'Since day one she's always taken my eye as a chaser in the making'
John O'Hara gets the lowdown from the Higher Crockermoor trainer
Having moved to his new purpose-built state-of-the-art stables at Higher Crockermoor in the heart of Dorset last season, Harry Fry’s team look to have settled in nicely with the string in great form as the season steps up a gear.
He says: “We learned a lot from the first 12 months here and have made a few tweaks and changes to how things are done. Obviously the key is to keep the horses healthy and well. If they keep running as they are doing we have plenty to look forward to.”
Last term the yard notched up 31 winners, and with 15 on the board already Fry is confident he can surpass that this season. “I would hope we can get past that and continue to build on what we have started,” he says. “We were lucky when we started to have 50-plus winners and hopefully we can soon get back to that number.
