We were very disappointed with him at Cork a few weeks ago when he was pulled up in a handicap chase on his return from a long absence. He’d been working well beforehand. Hopefully he can leave that run behind him.

Will probably have a similar programme to last year and we hope he can add to his tally of four Grade 1s over fences. Distances from 2m to 2m4f seem to suit best – he appeared not to stay 3m1½f in the French Champion Hurdle. It’s possible we might mix it between chases and hurdles and we’ll again look for suitable opportunities in France, where he has done well.
