We hadn't even got on to those beginning with B, but had already spoken about a dual Cheltenham Gold Cup hero, a Grade 1-winning novice hurdler who started favourite for the Supreme, the Champion Bumper runner-up and the RSA third.
If one needed reminding of the calibre of horses currently residing in Closutton, the A-team did just that. Al Boum Photo, Asterion Forlonge, Appreciate It and Allaho were the ones I was talking about in the previous paragraph, but Annamix is not too bad either and Acapella Bourgeois is rated 156. There cannot be a better crop of As anywhere else.
