Reshuffled camp aiming for better season with 'strongest team yet'
Peter Thomas unearths the gems among a strong cast at Uplands
The 2016-17 campaign was a decent one for Warren Greatrex, with big-race successes from the likes of Keeper Hill, Magic Money, Western Ryder and La Bague Au Roi, but there was still a feeling from the trainer that all was not as it might have been at Uplands.
Now, with some shifts in personnel, the former assistant to Oliver Sherwood is happy the yard is ready to face the challenge of the current season, even without sidelined star Cole Harden.
"At the start of last season there was something missing," says Greatrex. "There have been some changes in management and there's now a lot more energy in the yard. The horses look a picture and I'd like to think this is the strongest team we've had yet.
