He’s a half-brother to our Paddy Power Gold Cup and Cheltenham Festival winner Great Endeavour and if he achieves what that horse did we’ll all be happy. We bought him at Cheltenham last March after he’d been impressive in an Irish point. You can put a line through his first run for the yard in a competitive Kelso bumper as the ground had dried out too much for him. He ran a decent race behind some nice types at Hereford’s reopening meeting and is going to need further and more cut in the ground in time.

She’s an exciting new addition as she is a half-sister to stable star Dynaste, by the increasingly popular French stallion Saint Des Saints. There are plenty of options open to her following an encouraging third at Cartmel on her debut for the yard at the end of August. She’s still a novice over hurdles, while over fences she can claim a handy age and sex allowance.

He’s run countless good races in defeat and won a novice chase at Uttoxeter last season. He remains in the grip of the handicapper, so we gave him a spin on the Flat at Salisbury in June on his latest outing and he’s had a good holiday. We’ll continue mixing hurdling
and chasing with him this season.
