Since the resumption of racing last month John Quinn has had his team in fine form with 20 winners this year and with the promise of much more. One notable success came when Safe Voyage made headlines to become the Settrington-based trainer’s 1,000th success, but he admits there is no time to take a self-congratulatory pat on the back.

“Sure it was great but I’m always thinking about where the next winner is coming from,” he says.
