Lewis Porteous speaks to the Gold Cup-winning trainer about his leading lights

There is a palpable sense that Jonjo O'Neill and his team at Jackdaws Castle turned a pivotal corner last season having racked up 71 winners and more than £900,000 in prize-money in their most productive campaign since 2016-17.

Sky Pirate provided his trainer with a 27th Cheltenham Festival win in March, a first success at the season's key meeting since Minella Rocco triumphed in 2016.

On top of that there was a Ladbrokes Trophy win for Cloth Cap, a Betfair Hurdle victory courtesy of Soaring Glory and Midlands National joy for Time To Get Up in a season to be proud of.
