Big York prospects Brando and Syphax spearhead promising team
Dual Group 1 winner The Grey Gatsby is now trained by Dermot Weld, but Brando and Syphax are huge talents and will be battling it out for the mantle of stable star at Kevin Ryan's Hambleton Lodge stable.
Acomb winner Syphax, now owned by Godolphin, will be attempting to emulate The Grey Gatsby and win the Dante in a fortnight's time, while Abernant winner Brando will also be running at that meeting in the Duke of York, ahead of a planned tilt at the Diamond Jubilee at Royal Ascot.
Brando sluiced through the sprinting ranks last season, winning off a mark of 88 on his reappearance before going on to land the Ayr Gold Cup off a mighty mark of 110 in September.
