Sportech calling on 'war-room effort' in face of coronavirus outbreak

Betting technology operator Sportech is on a war footing according to chief executive Richard McGuire, as the coronavirus outbreak has brought a sudden halt to the progress the company had been making.

McGuire was speaking as the London-listed Sportech unveiled its results for 2019, showing a return to growth in revenues, which were up two per cent to £64.8 million.

Adjusted Ebitda (earnings before interest taxation, depreciation and amortisation) fell by five per cent to £9.3m last year, while adjusted profit before tax from continuing operations halved to £1m.
