'She shaped as well as the winner' - our handicapper analyses the weekend action

It was a quieter weekend of racing compared with much that has been on offer throughout the summer, but there were still high-class horses on show and plenty to be excited about.

William Buick had a great time at Goodwood on Saturday, starting in the Prestige Stakes where Fairy Cross recorded a career-best RPR of 102. Third home Bright Diamond shaped as well as the winner, recording an RPR of 98+, as she had to do it the hard way, coming from rear, and is an exciting prospect going forward.

Jadoomi was a good winner of the Celebration Mile, recording a best RPR of 116, just edging stablemate Finest Sound (115) with the gelding operation having brought out plenty of improvement.
