Sceau Royal has Unibet International Hurdle in his sights

It could be a big weekend as Sceau Royal may have a crack at another big prize in the Unibet International Hurdle at Cheltenham on Saturday.

I was very proud of his performance in the Fighting Fifth Hurdle and there was no disgrace at all in being beaten by Epatante, especially as he was left in front from the second flight and then had to avoid the loose horse. He seems in good order although he's not done a lot since Newcastle.

However, I'll need to see how he is in the lead-up to the race, look at the opposition and see what the ground is likely to be – he wouldn't run if it was very soft and when I watched the Countryfile weekly weather forecast on Sunday night, they weren't sure whether a big band of rain was going to get here by the middle of the week.
