Savage Wiesberger woe sees me welch on perspective promise
Strong powers of perspective are something I have prided myself on through the years and they have helped me leap over countless mental hurdles, but it appears this quality is massively on the wane.
Unfortunately, my brain has dropped to a different level in the last few weeks, shedding its sense of perspective. I know there are a multitude of terrible things happening in the world, legions of people suffering fates a million times worse than my own, and that I am one of Earth's lucky ones. Yet that awareness no longer stops me from getting wildly depressed about my relatively insignificant problems.
Tragically, my rapidly weakening mind has come to a fresh conclusion that the fact there are much worse things going on than my golf losers and financial woes is irrelevant in helping my golf losers and financial woes become more bearable. I just feel really sad about the really sad stuff and sad about the sad stuff.
