Questions answered: big views on the hot topics and key races
Right then, what did you make of this year’s Arc de Triomphe?
James Given, trainer When Enable kicked for home the hairs stood up on my neck. It was the acceleration away from a high-class field which was extraordinary. She was also superbly ridden; Frankie Dettori was never in the wrong place despite attempts to put him in a pocket. Jessica Harrington, trainer It was a very good Arc and I thought Enable was very impressive. She was different class. She got a lead, was always well positioned and quickened up really well to put the race to bed very quickly. She’s exceptional.
Richard Hoiles, ITV Racing commentator It was a majestic display from Enable. The way she lengthened her stride passing me at the 250-metre mark will live with me for a long time. Being so far down the track actually proved a real blessing!
