Online firm GVC could move into retail with 'right opportunity'

The chief executive of online gambling company GVC Holdings said last week he would not hesitate to do a deal involving retail betting if the terms were right.

Kenny Alexander was speaking as the owner of the Sportingbet and Bwin brands announced their full-year results for 2016.

GVC have been linked to deals involving both William Hill and Ladbrokes Coral in the last 12 months, and Alexander told analysts: "Would we not do a deal in the UK because of retail? No."
