Luke Townsend, 20, is a young racing fan who received a taste of ownership in the sport he loves via the hugely successful Owners Group syndicate.


My first memory of racing was sending my dad out to have £2.50 each-way on Neptune Collonges in the 2012 Grand National, not knowing a thing about racing at the age of 11. That was where the bug began.

It was in the days before the National was moved to a later start time to account for the 3pm football kick-offs and I was at the football that day watching my dad play in a local fixture in Redditch, where he was a substitute.
