O'Keeffe completes an arduous journey from sick bed to hot list

If the term 'in-form' was invented for anybody, it was invented for Jedd O'Keeffe. The man from Leyburn is so hot at the moment that trainers on the cold list huddle around him for warmth, and no amount of world-weary pessimism seems capable of bringing down the temperature.

The winning spree began at the tailend of last month when O'Keeffe's High Beck Lodge yard sent out a four-timer, capped by the Newcastle Listed win of progressive filly More Mischief, that broke new ground in more ways than he had dreamed possible.

He had never even had a treble before; he had certainly never trained a Listed winner, so he wisely anticipated a long wait for his next, only for it to arrive the very next day at Newmarket, courtesy of the equally progressive Lord Yeats.
