Nothing compares to riding a winner at the Cheltenham Festival
Davy Condon was a gifted jockey and he rode many big-race winners for Noel Meade, Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliott. Forced to retire in 2015 due to a spinal injury, Condon, 32, spent over a year working in a pre-training yard in Dubai, but is back working for Elliott and is currently an assistant trainer at Cullentra House.

Riding your first winner is always special but getting the ride on a good horse in public is even better. Holy Orders was a good horse. He was trained by Willie Mullins and he's the horse that really got me going as I won lots of races on him and got to ride him at many of the big meetings. He took me around the world when I was only a teenager. We were beaten just a neck at Royal Ascot in 2002, he gave me a great spin in the 2003 Melbourne Cup and I also got to ride him on Arc day at Longchamp in 2004. He was a very quirky horse and he could be quite mulish, but Willie did a fantastic job with him.
