When La Cressonniere stormed to success in June's Prix de Diane Longines, Jean-Claude Rouget admitted to worrying only that morning that he had already used up his luck for the season.

The winner that day was backing up a gutsy Poule d'Essai victory over Deauville's straight mile, while Rouget had barely had time to pack away his morning suit following Qemah's Coronation Stakes waltz.

La Cressonniere was completing the Chantilly Classic double, following Almanzor's win in the Prix du Jockey Club, making Rouget the first trainer to win both in the same season for a second time.
