Tom Clover, former assistant to David Simcock, is hoping to saddle his first runner as a licensed trainer at Lingfield this month.

The 30-year-old recently got under way at the White Yard at the foot of the Warren Hill training grounds in Newmarket, where his string is already into double figures.

Among the recent arrivals are a couple of all-weather candidates and Clover hopes the former William Haggas-trained Circulate can get the ball rolling at Lingfield on December 14.
