I'm a racing fan for many reasons, including the great horses and the spectacular courses all around the world. However, what draws me in more than anything is being able to follow the story of a horse and its connections while feeling like I'm almost right there alongside for the campaign.

I was privileged enough to see American Pharoah gallop at Saratoga the day before he ran in the Travers – to be a part of a crowd that size and be in the presence of a Triple Crown winner was an amazing experience that I will never forget.

My father and I take a yearly trip to Saratoga – it started ten years ago as an impromptu drive and has now become the highlight of our summer. Saratoga is also the venue of my best bet, when Stalkwalkin Dude won the Tale of the Cat Stakes last year.
