A forum of people with 'lived experience' of gambling harm has been formed to provide advice to the Gambling Commission and is set to become a permanent advisory group to the industry regulator.

The creation of the interim Experts by Experience Group (EbE) followed a workshop in March in which people who had suffered harm from gambling were asked to offer their perspective on topics including high value or VIP customers, advertising technology and safe game design.

Those were three areas the Gambling Commission had in October challenged the industry to make quick progress on, and the regulator last week published a report outlining the work done so far, which included EbE input.
