What advice would you give your ten-year-old self?
Do the same. Be committed and respectful about the job.

When did you first know you’d become a jockey and why?
My father was a small trainer in Marseille, and when I was very young I would always say I didn't want dessert, I wanted to be a jockey. Doing anything else never crossed my mind.

What is your earliest racing memory?
My dad told me that if we won a big steeplechase in the south of France I would get what I had asked for, which was a black and white Shetland pony from America.
