Well turned out in shirt, tie and sweater vest, the youthful 69-year-old exudes contentment, his soothing bass tone the perfect accompaniment to a sunny spring morning.

A stockman at heart, Meade is a wealthy man thanks to the success of his private investment group Hadleigh Partners but it is away from the city and surrounded by top-class horses where he finds solace.
