Sir Anthony McCoy and Bob Champion will captain two teams in a charity Ryder Cup-style golf match hosted in southern Spain from September 17-20.

The event, which will take place at the Desert Springs Resort & Golf Club in Almeria, will pit teams representing the Injured Jockeys Fund and the Bob Champion Cancer Trust against one another, with all the proceeds split equally between both charities.

The Bob Champion Cancer Trust raises funds to support their cancer research programmes taking place within The Bob Champion Research and Education Building at the University of East Anglia, while the IJF assists all professional riders who are injured, unable to ride or generally in need.
