Racing Welfare this week presented its lifetime in racing award to Mick Finn, Graeme McPherson's assistant trainer, who has worked in racing for almost 50 years.

Finn, who was presented with the award at Chepstow on Wednesday, began his career in 1972 when he went to work for Ken Cundell and has since worked for the likes of Milton Bradley, Taffy Salaman, Paul Rich and Ron Harris.
