Lisa O’Neill would prefer if we didn't count the candles. "You don’t have to tell everyone my age, do you?" she asks in typically polite manner. The request is denied. Not out of spite, but simply because her age adds to her intrigue.

Wednesday marks the second anniversary of her belated baptism into the big time, the day we finally found out who Ms L O’Neill actually was.

"After winning the Kerry National two years ago, I travelled home with Jack Kennedy, Donagh Meyler and Cian Collins," O’Neill recalls.
