Laurina's presence adds plenty spice to Champion build-up but her price is tight

A strong case can be made for believing Laurina is too short a price for the Unibet Champion Hurdle.

It’s not that she isn’t a huge talent, more a question of whether she will be up to dealing with dual champion Buveur D’Air and ten-time Grade 1 winner Apple’s Jade in the ferocious heat of a two-mile battle on the opening day of the Cheltenham Festival. That's the challenge.

There is no questioning her potential and the high regard in which she is held by those closest to her. But her Grade 1 experience is limited, with her only attempt at that level coming at Fairyhouse last season when she trounced her rivals in a mares' only event.
