What did you make of the Marsh Hurdle (Long Walk) despite Paisley Park's absence?

Tom Bellamy, jockey The race cut up massively with first If The Cap Fits and then Paisley Park coming out, but it still made for a spectacle and it was nice for The Worlds End to get his day in the sun. The one to take out of it was L’Ami Serge, who ran a massive race despite coming back from such a long layoff. It was an incredible run in such testing conditions.

Jonathan Moore, jockey The Worlds End was tough and genuine; L’Ami Serge didn’t get home but take nothing away from the winner. You’d have to say Paisley Park remains the outstanding horse in the staying hurdle division though.

It’s obviously disappointing when good horses don’t turn up but at the same time it was fantastic to see the reaction of The Worlds End’s owners. It clearly meant a great deal and it’s great to see people who have so much passion for the sport. It was a great occasion for them.

Sam Twiston-Davies, jockey It was a great training performance by Nicky Henderson to have L’Ami Serge in such good nick on his first run after 580 days off as he nearly stole it. But fair play to The Worlds End as he looked beaten and then pulled the prize out of the fire. However, on bare form you’d have to say Paisley Park would have won easily if he’d taken his chance.
