'It's massively frustrating and disappointing' - Starman retirement a huge blow
We ought to have been getting excited about Starman's final run in the Qipco British Champions Sprint Stakes this week and it was a huge blow when a small setback ruled him out.
It's massively frustrating and disappointing, especially as it looks as though the ground is coming right. It's going to be on the slow side of good at Ascot on Saturday and that would have been perfect for him.
It's also the only time he ever had a training setback. Although he was lightly raced, that wasn't his fault but was due to circumstance, namely covid and the ground.
