Incredible Hulk makes appearance after more each-way agony
Got rid of your old pound coins yet? You've got to get rid of your old pounds coins, eh? I think Poundland, funnily enough, are accepting the old ones until October 31. The bookies? I'm not sure. Probably. I think they accept the shirt off your back if you've got nothing else to offer.
Betting can make you angry, can't it? I got very angry last Sunday because of betting. You know that moment when Bruce Banner turns into Incredible Hulk after being subjected to emotional stress? Well, a similar scenario unfolded in my house during the closing stages of the Italian Open.
No muscles appeared – I remained more Mr Bean than Mr Schwarzenegger – but I went green at the gills and did a lot of growling. I was the hulk with a sulk, crushing cans of Guinness with my teeth and mumbling at them: “Don't make me angry – you wouldn't like me when I'm angry.”
