Which horse from the Irish 2,000 Guineas has the brightest future?

Trainer Ed Bethell Mac Swinney and Poetic Flare have bright futures and I’d slightly favour the runner-up, purely for the fact he’s run in an English, French and Irish Guineas, showing his tough constitution. However, I don’t think you can take anything away from the winner, who loves soft ground.

Trainer Noel Meade You’d have to say Mac Swiney because he looks like a genuine Derby contender, but I do think he wants easy ground. Poetic Flare didn’t lose much in defeat and will obviously be better on better ground.

Assistant trainer Sean Quinn The winner, Mac Swiney, is the one you have to take from the race. He ran a nice enough race in the Derrinstown when they found out he had mucus coming from his nose and left that form behind and really went forward. He’s a genuine, straightforward horse and should be exciting when stepped up to 1m4f.
