To coincide with a Doctor Who special on BBC1 on Christmas Day, we invited racing professionals to tell us where they'd go and why if they could borrow the doctor's time-travelling Tardis . . .

Oh definitely Bobbyjo winning the Grand National! I was only a nipper at the time and I didn't really appreciate the magnitude of it all. I'd love to go back in time and experience it all over again. It was the best day for the whole family.

I'd warned the hungry locals to protect their food, hopefully avoiding the end product which was a delighted looking Eric making off towards the stables, tail wagging furiously, with a whole cooked chicken clamped firmly and proudly between his jaws!
