Ibas outlines its case for gambling ombudsman job if white paper creates role

The wait goes on for the publication of the gambling review white paper but the planning continues for its aftermath, including at the Independent Betting Adjudication Service (Ibas).

One of the proposals expected to emerge from the review is the creation of a gambling ombudsman to protect customers and this week Ibas is putting forward its case to be awarded the new role.

Formed in 1998, Ibas is the main gambling specialist Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) service, dealing with more than 80 per cent of gambling complaints in the UK, as well as overseas disputes.
