'I was seriously impressed' - Harry Whittington with a horse who caught his eye

Hurdles or chases – which route would you take with Sceau Royal this season?
Sean Flanagan, jockey I’d go chasing with him as I would think he has a better chance of winning the Champion Chase than he does the Champion Hurdle. He nearly won the Champion Chase two years ago and looks as good as ever now.
Emma Lavelle, trainer It’s a great predicament to be in, but I think I’d stick with hurdles for the time being. He’s obviously the most fantastic horse to be involved with and some of those big hurdle races before Christmas are worth a bit of money. I’d stay doing that for the moment and then look at the chases in the spring.
Kevin O'Malley, Tote He’s returned following a wind op with a renewed confidence, which is lovely to see. He could do either, as we know he’s high class in both disciplines. Having said that, he hasn’t won in eight starts over fences yet is unbeaten in two starts over hurdles this season. If it’s working, why change it? Hurdles, but options are good.
