Buena Vista winning the 2011 Pertemps Final

Five weeks before I fell off a horse at the back of the last hurdle for David Pipe at Taunton when I was eight lengths clear. That was a fairly low point and I hadn’t ridden a winner since. I went to Cheltenham delighted to have a ride but not really expecting Buena Vista to go and win for the second consecutive year. He jumped so well and gave me such a thrill. I don’t think I’ve sat on anything to compare with the way he came up that hill.
